Relational Law & Governance — A Manifesto for a New Paradigm

We are living through a systemic transition. Climate and biodiversity breakdown, technological disruption, inequality and geopolitical instability are exposing the limits of systems built on separation, control and short-term interests.
Relational Law & Governance starts from a simple proposition: interdependence is not an aspiration. It is the reality of life—and should become a foundation of law, governance and leadership.

We believe law can do more than regulate harm. It can shape the relationships that enable people, organisations, societies and ecosystems to thrive.

This calls us to rethink property, personhood, responsibility, corporate purpose and accountability—and to explore new forms of regenerative law and governance.

It also calls for a new kind of leadership: leaders who see systems rather than isolated parts, practise awareness rather than control, and act with responsibility for the whole.

We invite legal scholars, practitioners and leadership professionals to explore, challenge and co-create this emerging paradigm—and help build institutions fit for an interconnected world.
